Porcelain Fruit Container

Large: 22cm x 12cm

These colourful porcelain vessels are called fruit containers because they were used for dried fruits, nuts and edible seeds traditionally. Most modern Chinese homes use these or variants of these containers to serve traditional goodies at festive times like Christmas or Chinese New Year. The deeper and larger ones were also occasionally used to steam and serve herbal soups for honoured guests or elderly family members.
