Green Round Porcelain Vase

These narrow-necked Chinese porcelain vases were originally used to display just one or two branches of plum blossom, so these were used only seasonally in late winter or early spring when the plum blossoms were in flower. Threy were much loved items in the homes of the rich not just in China, but also in Korea and Japan since they were regarded as harbingers of spring. 

Glazed with a pale bue-green celadon glaze, our round vase is a subtly elegant display piece for a quiet corner where the pale blue-green glaze's rich hue will provide a splash of highlight.
