These large bamboo or wooden buckets with recessed handles that just peek over the rim are also ergonomically designed to facilitate their use when dropped into a well with a rope attached to the handle. The secret of its design lies in the fact that it can be easily tipped over inside the well to collect water, but will stay perfectly level when winched or manually hauled up from the well.
